Manager, Institutional Client Management

Role Summary

The role will report directly to Head of Client Management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the main liaison person for client meetings, including but not limited to coordinating the preparation of portfolio review presentations. Accompany client relationship and/or portfolio managers to client meetings, as required.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team and other departments on client-related matters, act as a point of contact for internal or external client-related queries and requests.
  • Assist in the client take-on process, including KYC due diligence, new account opening, renewal of or changes to investment management agreements as well as account closures.
  • Update consultants’ databases on a monthly and quarterly basis, as required.
  • Lead and execute on existing and new projects.

Education Qualification

  • Degree holder, preferably in Finance, Economics and Accounting or related field.

Experience and Skills

  • At least 7 to 12 years’ experience in asset management industry.
  • Experience in a client-facing role with institutional clients.
  • Good understanding of investment strategies and products across equity, fixed income, multi- asset and alternative investments.
  • Exemplary analytical, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external clients at all levels.
  • High level of energy, motivation and drive as well as attention to detail.
  • Possess outstanding time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage expectations of internal and external clients effectively and ability to work on multiple assignments against strict and competing deadlines.
  • Good team player, embrace a collaborative and open working culture.
