Manager to Associate Director, CIO Office

Role Summary

The role will sit in the CIO Office and will jointly report to Head of CIO Office, Head of Treasury Management (TM) and Director of Treasury Management (TM).  He/She will report to Head of CIO Office for the Middle Office functions and within TM, this role will report to Head of TM for team function, and Director of TM for all daily tasks.

The selected candidate will work closely on middle office function with other investment teams, to ensure workflow and controls are appropriately managed.  He/She will also provide investment and operational support to Treasury Management within the Investment Group, work alongside with team members of Treasury and project teams on initiatives to transform trading workflows and technology.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide investment and operational support to Treasury Management; on areas like order entry, currency balances management, cash flow management, onboarding matter, margin management, and operational control on derivatives workflow
  • Assist Portfolio Managers and Traders to ensure relevant regulation and mandate guidelines are adhere to through the effective implementation of operational controls and Middle office functions
  • Work on Middle office function across Investments, Business Management Group and Control divisions on portfolios, trade related workflow, and risk related matter for smooth function of Investment Group
  • Maintain desk procedures, trade flows, and settlement matter. And ensure the processes and controls are captured and adhered to by those involved in the trade life cycle of orders.
  • Work with project team on automation and implementation of new trading workflows, testing of front-to-back systems, assisting on system cutover activities such as data preparation, system setup, user training, user support, other project related duties as assigned from time to time
  • Contribute to Investment Group’s transformation, efficiency, and alpha capture; via Augmented Intelligence, trading related research, and trading technologies.

Education Qualification

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience, preferably with Portfolio management and cross assets knowledge
  • Knowledge in using IT applications, macros and Bloomberg will be necessary
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematical background. Programming knowledge will be a plus
  • Good team player, and embraces collaborative and open working culture
  • Eagerness to transform trading workflow and technologies, and review status quo
  • Ability to work under pressure and datelines
  • Good written and verbal communication.
